Terms Of Use
Terms and Conditions
Welcome to A to Z Appliance. By engaging with our services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined here, which govern all aspects of our appliance repair services. To ensure safety, fairness, and transparency in our interactions, we have developed these Terms and Conditions. Please read this agreement carefully if you wish to use our services.
Non-Refundable Service Charge
In order to assess and diagnose appliances that are not under warranty, we charge a non-refundable service fee. This non-refundable diagnostic fee covers the costs associated with travel expenses for our technicians to your location, diagnostic assessments performed by our skilled appliance repair technicians, and administrative costs incurred in scheduling and managing your repair appointment. If you choose to proceed with the recommended repairs, the service charge will be applied toward the final repair cost. Payment of the service charge confirms your agreement to these terms. This fee is non-refundable regardless of whether you decide to proceed with the repair services.
Payment Terms and Collection Costs
Our payment terms are structured to provide flexibility while ensuring prompt payment for services rendered. Payments for repair services are due immediately upon completion unless an alternate arrangement has been made in writing.
Payment Methods
To accommodate your preferences, we accept the following payment methods: credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), cash payments, and checks (subject to clearance).
Additional Costs
If a check is returned, a $50 processing fee will be charged. Interest is charged on past-due balances at the rate of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law.
Collections
Failure to pay for completed services may result in collection efforts. In the event that an unpaid balance is recovered, you assume responsibility for all collection costs, including attorney fees, filing fees, and any additional costs associated with the recovery.
Limited Warranty
A to Z Appliance provides a limited warranty on all repair services and parts installed during the service. Our warranty ensures that you receive high-quality services and dependable repairs.
Warranty Coverage
From the date of service, our limited warranty covers parts and labor for repairs performed by our technicians. No additional charge will be made if faulty parts or services are provided during the warranty period.
Exclusions
Normal wear and tear on appliance components, cosmetic issues like scratches, dent, or discoloration, failures caused by improper use, neglect of maintenance, or unauthorized modification, appliances connected to faulty plumbing, electrical systems, or other third-party installations, or situations involving inherent risks or external factors, such as leaking water valves or supply lines, are not covered by our warranty.
Limitation of Damages
It is not the responsibility of A to Z Appliance to pay consequential damages, including loss of revenue or food spoilage, incidental damage, including inconveniences or disruptions to daily routine, or catastrophic damage resulting from unforeseen complications. Damages caused by our technicians are strictly limited to the amount paid for repair services, excluding cases of gross negligence.
Entire Agreement
Upon receipt of this document, you (the customer) will be bound by the terms agreed upon. It supersedes all prior communications, agreements, or understandings, whether oral or written. A written agreement between both parties is required for any additional terms to be valid.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which the service is performed. A binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act will resolve any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions. Arbitration proceedings will follow the rules established by the American Arbitration Association.
Damage Waivers
By requesting appliance repair services, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in servicing residential appliances. A to Z Appliance will exercise every reasonable effort to minimize damage, but some risks are unavoidable.
Waiver of Damages When Moving Appliances
Moving heavy or bulky appliances, such as refrigerators or washing machines, may result in damage to the appliance itself, scratches or dents on floors, countertops, or cabinetry. By requesting that our technicians move an appliance, you agree to waive claims for damage costs unless caused by identifiable carelessness.
Waiver of Damages When Working with Water
Appliances connected to water supply lines, such as dishwashers and washing machines, involve inherent risks, including leaks or flooding due to supply line failure and catastrophic damage to surrounding areas. Except in cases of gross negligence, you agree to hold harmless A to Z Appliance for damages arising from water-related issues.
Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling Equipment
Refrigeration units are complex components that may fail without warning. Potential consequences include food spoilage due to extended cooling downtime and financial losses in commercial settings. By engaging our repair services, you assume these risks and waive claims for incidental or consequential damages.
Waiver of Damages from Lifting Glass Cooktops
Glass or ceramic cooktops are fragile and may break during repairs requiring lifting or adjustment. By requesting such services, you accept the risk of breakage and agree to hold A to Z Appliance harmless from associated liability.
